If you are a student, or a teacher, we would love to invite you, and those around you, to participate in our programmes.

GET INSPIRED!

We can bring experiential programmes to your school/university which simulate some of the major challenges facing our world today. These are interactive x-periences in which students (and teachers) are welcome to participate and, afterwards, look at ways you can engage with these issues.

BUY FAIR TRADE!

We can bring a fair trade table to your school or university for a fair, or some other function, with products from around the world. As well, we can bring a fair trade simulation: an engaging, interactive programme which helps people step ‘into the shoes’ of those who do a decent amount of work, but don’t get a decent wage for it.

VOLUNTEER!

If you are 18 or above, you can volunteer with us on a part-time or full-time basis. We have plenty of online opportunities to volunteer which you can do whatever your location. We have a few opportunities in our office too (in the greater Manchester area).

We are looking for volunteers with:

  • communications / PR skills: fundraising, public speakers, designers, grant writers, designers with layout skills…
  • administration skills: data-entry, emails, book-keepers, PAs, project managers…
  • IT and computer skills: web designers (WordPress, PHP, Ruby on Rails, JavaScript)…
  • retail skills: sellers and buyers for our fair trade products…
  • acting skills: cast members for our interactive theatre simulations of world needs…
  • shipping/logistics experience: supporting humanitarian shipping…

We can give you a reference, if you volunteer with CGV UK for 240 hours or more, which might be useful for your CV.
